Dear Resident of New Castle County,

Welcome to our new website. We are thrilled you have landed on the New Castle County Pride (NCCP) page! Like you, we are dedicated to ensuring New Castle County continues to develop into a vibrant and inviting community. We do this in many ways but the main way is by connecting residents to supporting important programs in our community. Often, community members have asked to do more for their county but due to ethical issues of giving donations directly to a government body, which you could often have business with, or in front of, they could not. Through our nonprofit organization and our dedicated volunteer board, we are able to support county initiatives in a way that is ethical, effective, and desperately needed.

Operationally, the process is relatively simple. NCCP accepts contributions for programs that affect county residents and improves’ county owned resources. One example of our fundraising process is the Love Your Library effort. NCCP accepts contributions and then works with each library to obtain additional books/materials. You can designate your contribution to all the libraries, or one in particular. NCCP orders and pays for the books and donates them to the library. Another example is the Rockwood Holiday Open House. NCCP collects contributions to offset the expenses of the planned program annually.

NCCP currently has no paid staff, nor do the Board members receive any compensation. To pay the modest operating expenses of the organization, NCCP retains 2.5% of all contributions. Your receipt for a contribution will list the full value of your donation.
